    Dear Potential Buyers of our Home,

    We fell in love with the Estes Valley while on vacation at a guest ranch in Allenspark back in 1983. We had a free day so we came into Estes on Highway 7 and were overcome with the grandeur of the valley. Upon coming into town there was a large herd of elk across from Carriage Hills entrance and WOW what an impression! This is the area where we wanted to be.

    It took 11 years to make that dream come true. We packed up and quit our jobs. We were fussy about the location – we were searching for that perfect lot – but our realtor reminded us that not all lots have the 360 degree view (without the price) and we realized that once you move here, you “live in the views”.

    Our dream was to own a log home but the price was way out of our budget so, over time, we remodeled and achieved the look inside of a log home with many of the upgrades we have done. We have that log home feel in our Estes Park home.

    We are selling because we came upon an opportunity to finally have that log home of our dreams. Of course, we found it while we were on vacation in Jackson Hole, WY. We purchased the home back in 2011 and have rented it as a vacation rental until we retire. Well, that time has come and we retire in the spring.

    We have many fond memories of our time in Estes Park and enjoy everything our valley has to offer. We hope the new owners will appreciate our home and have many happy memories with their families. With the views of Twin Sisters and Little Valley off the front porch and Longs Peak off the back deck, it’s our little piece of heaven. This is a very quiet neighborhood and many are only summer residents.

    It will be hard to leave this community but we will be back to visit since our children live on the Front Range.
