These pictures were taken this afternoon after we’ve had 2 straight days of rain and temperatures only reaching in the upper 40s in town. These low temperatures allowed the rain to accumulate as snow on the mountaintops. Its been a strange few days as this is definitely not typical weather for August in Estes Park. This afternoon was the first time the mountains peeked out from behind the clouds and the rain. These pictures were taken from the Windcliff area just outside of town near the YMCA of the Rockies.
